I have converted from a midwesterner to a south-westerner.
I moved from Michigan to Albuquerque to finish college back in 2003. I have a BFA in Studio Art from the University of New Mexico, where I studied Printmaking and Digital Photography.
I started embroidering pillows as a way to decompress from my day job. Slowly it morphed into designing other home decor and gifts, and after my daughter was born I decided to make it a full time gig.
My aesthetic ranges from whimsical grandma, to dark humor, to the down right macabre. For most of my imagery I take a lot of inspiration from the 1980's, postmodern art, as well as the atomic influence of the 1950's. I also love old medical diagrams and engravings because they translate beautifully into embroidery.
